Last night, the AIA Long Island Chapter gave out their annual 'Archi' awards for the best projects/architects. GreenLogic  and PGI Geothermal jointly sponsor the "Residential Sustainable Design Award" and PSEGLI sponsors the "Commercial Sustainable Design Award". The sponsors are not involved in the judging. Historically, most of the Residential winners were architects we work with (Stelle, Narofsky, Stott...).  This year, both the Residential and Commercial awards were won by architects that choose to work exclusively with us. Specifically:

Commercial: Bottle Bargains by Notaro Grupp Architects (NGA)

Residential: Greenfield by Narofsky Design (Stu Narofsky is also an AIA "Lifetime Achievement Award" winner).

Both of these projects have PGI Geothermal HVACs and Bottle Bargains also has a GreenLogic flat roof PV system. Narofsky has used us on several of his projects (Cona, Koondel, Chabra), and Cona in fact won the Residential award a couple of years ago (geo from PGI, PV from GL, and solar pool heat from Sunshine).  Note that PSEGLI put in a plug for us from the podium as they gave out the commercial award, as did the winning architects.

So, when speaking to architects, feel free to use this as needed - obviously, the winners are architects (not renewable energy experts), so they designed the buildings/introduced us to their clients and we did the rest. In the case of Bottle Bargains, there is nothing green at all about the project except for the solar and geo - this shows how important energy is these days, and how easily a non-green architect can jump to the front of the pack by teaming up with us. PS: Chances are that we'll win the commercial award next year for Tutor Time Melville (this one is LEED with geo and PV).

What we would generally do is to send some sample pricing laying out the options. We would normally send pricing on an average sized system for an "open well" and a "closed loop" for comparison.
